Cross Docking

Receive, sort, and redistribute without storage, same-day or next-day turnaround

Cross Docking

Move Cargo Through, Not Into, Our Facility

Cross docking eliminates the cost and time of traditional warehousing. Inbound cargo arrives from the port or an inland supplier, is immediately sorted and consolidated onto outbound vehicles, and dispatched to its final destination, often within hours of arrival. No long-term storage. No excess handling.

Our facility is purpose-built for cross docking with 16 loading bays on both sides of the dock floor, allowing simultaneous inbound and outbound movements with no vehicle queuing. We run cross-docking operations for FMCG distributors, retailers, and transit cargo operators daily.

When to Use Cross Docking

Retail Distribution

Consolidate multi-supplier stock and route individual store orders without holding inventory, essential for modern retail supply chains.

Perishable Cargo

Speed perishables from port to market, minimal dwell time reduces spoilage risk for fresh produce, dairy, and short-shelf-life goods.

Transit Cargo (EAC)

Transit cargo destined for neighbouring countries is consolidated onto outbound vehicles without incurring local duty or extended storage charges.

E-Commerce Returns

Receive, inspect, sort, and re-dispatch returned goods from across the country in one consolidated movement back to the origin or re-distribution centre.

Manufacturing Inbound

JIT (Just-in-Time) delivery of raw materials and components to production lines, sorted at our dock and dispatched in production schedule order.

LCL Deconsolidation

Inbound LCL groupage containers are devanned, individual consignments separated, and delivered to individual importers on the same day.

Cross Docking, How It Works

1

Inbound Arrival

Your cargo arrives at our dock, from the port, an inland supplier, or multiple vendors, and is booked in against a pre-advised manifest.

2

Devan & Sort

Cargo is devanned, barcode-scanned, and sorted to outbound order, by route, store, SKU, or customer, on the cross-dock floor.

3

Load Outbound

Sorted cargo is loaded directly onto outbound vehicles, no intermediate racking or storage. Documents are printed and vehicle departs.

4

Delivery & POD

Cargo delivered to final destinations. Electronic proof of delivery (ePOD) captured and uploaded to WMS within 2 hours of delivery.

Cross Docking, FAQs

For pre-advised manifests, most cross-docking movements complete within 4–8 hours of cargo arrival. For simple deconsolidation and direct reload, same-day turnaround is standard. Complex sorting operations (e.g. 50+ delivery points) may take up to 24 hours. We plan based on your outbound dispatch schedule.
Yes. Our land freight team operates a fleet of 1-tonne vans to 14-tonne trucks for urban and regional last-mile delivery. We can manage the entire operation, inbound collection, cross-dock sort, and outbound delivery, under a single contract and invoice. Alternatively, you can use your own vehicles or a third-party carrier at our dock.
To prepare for a cross-dock movement, we need: an advance shipping notice (ASN) or inbound manifest at least 4 hours before arrival, the outbound delivery order (sorted by route or customer), and delivery addresses. The more lead time we have, the smoother the sort. For regular operations, we set up a standard template with your logistics team.
